International Supper: Around the World in One Kitchen!

Today at Wynchemna, we proved that you don’t need a passport to travel around the world—you just need a hungry stomach and a willingness to cook!

We kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast before diving into our three awesome English lessons. But everyone knew the real adventure was waiting in the kitchen because today was International Supper!

International Supper at Wynchemna comes with a very important twist. Each country prepares a traditional dish, but there’s a catch: only one student from each country stays with their own team! Everyone else joins students from another country and learns how to prepare something completely new. So, suddenly, German students were becoming Taiwanese dumpling experts, Czech students were discovering French cuisine, and Mexico’s salsa-making secrets were being shared with an international team of chefs!

And what a feast we created! Taiwan served up delicious pork dumplings alongside refreshing bubble tea. Germany brought the comfort food with Käsespätzle and Bratapfel. Mexico turned up the heat with an incredible variety of homemade salsas. The Czech Republic impressed everyone with sweet strawberry dumplings, while France treated us to delicious chicken cordon bleu.

The kitchen was filled with laughter, teamwork, new vocabulary, confused instructions, and plenty of taste-testing. It was the perfect opportunity to learn about different cultures while practicing English in a very practical—and very delicious—way!

After filling our stomachs, we weren’t quite ready for bed. Instead, we grabbed the microphones and finished the evening with an epic Wynchemna karaoke session! From impressive performances to enthusiastic attempts, the students brought plenty of energy and laughter to the stage.

A day of English, international cooking, cultural exchange, incredible food, and karaoke? Now THAT is a Wynchemna day!
