Rolling Into an Amazing Summer!

The first full day at Wynchemna was filled with excitement as students officially kicked off their summer adventure together!

After enjoying breakfast, everyone gathered to learn about the expectations for camp and what they can look forward to over the coming weeks. With new friends from around the world, it was the perfect way to start building a positive and welcoming camp community.

Next, students completed an English placement exam to help determine the class that best matches their language level. This ensures that everyone will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel confident throughout their English lessons. Once the exam was finished, everyone headed to the campus cafeteria for a delicious lunch and a chance to relax before the afternoon adventures began.

After lunch, the final campers to arrive were officially welcomed to the Wynchemna family. With everyone together, it was time to get active! Students laced up their rollerblades and roller skates for a fun afternoon of skating. There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and even a few wobbles as everyone encouraged one another and enjoyed the experience together.

After working up an appetite, the group walked to the nearby mall for some shopping and a delicious shawarma dinner in the food court. It was a great opportunity for students to explore the area, practice their English in real-life situations, and spend more time getting to know their new friends.

Back at camp, the fun continued with a campus-wide scavenger hunt. Teams raced around the buildings, solved clues and discovered important locations while learning more about their new home. Congratulations to the winning team, who successfully tracked down the final prize!

To wrap up an incredible day, we celebrated our very first Student of the Day, recognizing a camper who demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm, kindness, and a positive attitude. After some well-earned free time to relax and socialize, everyone headed to bed, excited for all the adventures that await at Wynchemna this summer!
