The Land of the Dinosaurs!!

This morning we had a short, early breakfast and went straight into lessons afterwards. After our lessons, we had a delicious lunch spread of fried fish, assorted vegetables, potato salad, and charcuterie. Bellies full, we got on the bus and headed to Horseshoe Canyon and Drumheller. The canyon was spectacular and our knowledgeable guide, Jaffra, explained it was formed over 10,000 years ago when the glaciers that spanned the Praries melted exposing fossils and rock formations over 30-50 million years old. After our hike, we went the world famous Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology. What an truly incredible experience! For dinner, we had a cookout at a local water park and played football, soccer, and bocce until the sun went down. On the bus ride back we sang songs, conversed with bus mates, and watched the thunderstorms over the Praries. We are tired now, but can't wait to explore downtown Calgary tomorrow.
