Learning, Cooking, and Karaoke: A Global Day at Wynchemna!
Today was an exciting and eventful day at camp, especially for our newer students who had their very first English lessons! The classrooms were buzzing with energy as students participated in activities that included writing, speaking, and interactive games. It was a great way for everyone to get comfortable using English in a fun and supportive environment.
After a morning full of learning, we headed to the cafeteria for a delicious lunch. With full stomachs and high spirits, the whole group set off for a fun shopping trip. Our mission? To buy ingredients for tonight’s highly anticipated International Supper! Each group represented a different country, and everyone worked together to prepare traditional dishes from around the world.
Preparing the food was a blast! There was laughter, teamwork, and lots of amazing smells coming from each of the rooms. We were all treated to an incredible variety of dishes—carbonara from Italy, tteokbokki (spicy Korean rice cakes), fried rice and bubble tea from Taiwan, carlota from Mexico, quiche Lorraine from France, and bistec picado from Panama. It was a perfect chance to learn more about each other’s cultures through food.
To top off this amazing day, we ended the night with a lively karaoke session. So many students grabbed the mic and sang their hearts out, cheering each other on and dancing along. The energy in the room was unforgettable.
Today was a perfect example of what makes Wynchemna so special: learning, laughter, and friendships from all around the world. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
