A Bittersweet Finale to an Unforgettable Summer

What a beautiful, whirlwind day it’s been — the perfect send-off after a month packed with laughter, growth, and incredible memories.

We kicked things off with a hearty final breakfast. The breakfast rooms buzzed with energy as everyone filled up on waffles, eggs, and good conversation — the kind of chatter that only comes from close friends savoring their last morning together.

From there, we turned creativity up a notch with our much-anticipated Newspaper Fashion Show. Campers teamed up to design and model fabulous outfits made entirely from newspaper — and wow, did they deliver! From high-fashion gowns to superhero capes, the runway was alive with imagination, laughter, and teamwork.

After lunch at the cafeteria, it was time to roll up our sleeves for a bit of cleaning and packing. Campers zipped up suitcases, sorted through souvenirs, and made sure their dorms were left just as they found them (okay… maybe even a little cleaner!).

In the afternoon, we gathered together for one last group moment. Each student was recognized with a personalized certificate, and the room lit up with applause and proud smiles. Then came the slideshow — a touching highlight reel of our time together. There were giggles, a few misty eyes, and lots of “remember when…” as we watched a month of unforgettable moments flash before us.

We wrapped up our evening with a pizza feast at Boston Pizza — complete with cheers, shared slices, and a few silly photos. Then, the grand finale: our farewell Dance Party. The music was loud, the moves were wild, and the energy was pure joy. There were spontaneous group dances, and, of course, lots of hugs as we soaked up every last second together.

As the music faded and campers began saying their goodbyes, the emotions hit — a mix of happiness, pride, and that inevitable tinge of sadness that comes with parting ways after something truly special.

We may be heading home tomorrow, but the friendships, lessons, and memories we’ve made here will stick with us for a long, long time.

What a summer. What a day. What a camp.
