A Busy Day Full of Fun!
Today was packed with adventure, learning, and lots of laughter!
We started our day with a quick but delicious breakfast to get us energized. Then it was time for three short but super fun and educational lessons—everyone was engaged and ready to learn.
After the lessons, we geared up for an exciting afternoon. Lunch was at the University of Calgary, where we enjoyed some delicious Chinese food before boarding the bus to Horseshoe Canyon.
Our hike through the canyon lasted about an hour, and the views were absolutely stunning. We took tons of pictures, explored the area, and had a great time. At the end of the hike, our amazing bus driver Roger surprised us with fresh watermelon he cut up for everyone—perfect after a warm walk.
Next, we split into two groups for the afternoon. Some of us headed to the Royal Tyrrell Museum to learn all about dinosaurs and prehistoric life. The rest went to Rotary Spray Park, where they splashed in the sprinklers and played games like frisbee, soccer, football, and volleyball.
As the evening approached, the museum group joined the park group for a BBQ dinner in the park. We grilled up tasty burgers and enjoyed a relaxed meal together. Everyone pitched in to help with the food and clean-up—it was a true team effort.
We ended the day by heading back to SAIT, with music playing and dancing on the bus. The energy was high and the vibes were great all the way home.
A big shoutout to our Student of the Day: Tobias! He was full of energy, kind to everyone, and super helpful throughout the day. Well done, Tobias!
Another unforgettable day with the Wynchemna Senior Group!
