Day V of the Teacher Orientation.

Wynchemna Teacher Orientation – Final Day Reflection

Our final day of teacher orientation at Wynchemna wrapped up with a productive and memorable combination of administrative organization and team bonding. The morning was dedicated to tying up loose ends—finalizing class schedules, going over lesson plans, and ensuring all necessary teaching materials were ready for the start of classes. There was a strong sense of shared purpose as everyone contributed to getting everything in place, with laughter and coffee fueling our progress.

By mid-afternoon, the mood shifted from work to play as we headed out to the park for what began as a light-hearted game of softball. What started casually quickly turned into a fiercely fun and surprisingly competitive match. Teachers who had never played before were sprinting bases and diving for catches, while seasoned players brought energy and strategy to the field. Laughter echoed across the diamond as friendly rivalries emerged and unexpected home runs were cheered on. The camaraderie was electric, and for a few hours, the worries of the upcoming weeks were replaced by pure joy.

Afterward, we were treated to a spectacular Indian dinner—an aromatic and flavorful feast that included butter chicken, samosas, basmati rice, naan, and a selection of rich curries. The meal was a perfect way to unwind and recharge after the spirited game.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt graduation and slideshow presentation. It was both a celebration and a look back at the journey so far—photos of our training days, candid behind-the-scenes moments, and shared laughs reminded us of how far we’d come together. There were a few tears, many hugs, and a sense of genuine pride in being part of something so meaningful.

As the slideshow faded out and the applause settled, we knew we weren’t just colleagues—we had become a team, ready to welcome the students and begin an unforgettable summer.
