The Summer of 2025 begins for Wynchemna!

Wynchemna International ESL Camp kicked off with a touch of excitement and early arrival this year, of our first student who landed a day ahead of schedule from the scenic islands of French Polynesia. After a long journey, the student was warmly welcomed at the airport, where their first impression of Calgary included the iconic horse statue—a striking landmark that hinted at the region's Western heritage and spirit. The air was filled with a mix of nervous energy and anticipation as we loaded his luggage into the camp shuttle and headed toward the residences, where their Canadian adventure was about to begin.

Upon arrival at the residences, the student was met with an unexpectedly relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The teachers, already on-site preparing for the full program, were lounging in the common room, playing pool and ping pong, creating an inviting and approachable vibe. The Polynesian students quickly joined in, breaking the ice over friendly games and laughter. It didn’t take long for everyone to start chatting, sharing stories, and forming the first bonds of what promised to be a summer full of language learning, cultural exchange, and unforgettable memories.
