From Chores to Skating: A Day Full of Adventure!

Today was a busy day at Wynchemna, filled with teamwork, learning, and plenty of fun! After waking up and getting ready for the day, our students started things off by preparing a delicious breakfast together. Nothing beats starting the morning with a full stomach and lots of energy!

After breakfast, it was time to tackle one of the less glamorous—but very important—parts of camp: laundry day! Students got their clothes washed and ready for the adventures still to come. With everyone feeling fresh and organized, we headed into our first ESL lesson of the day. The students worked hard, practiced their English, and enjoyed another opportunity to learn and improve their communication skills.

Once the morning lesson was finished, everyone gathered together for lunch and a well-deserved break. After refuelling, it was time to head back to the classroom for another ESL lesson. The students continued building their English skills while sharing plenty of laughs and stories along the way.

Then came an unexpected team challenge! The students jumped in to help the teachers move to a different floor. With everyone pitching in and working together, the move was finished much faster than it would have been without our amazing Wynchemna helpers. Teamwork makes the dream work!

After all that hard work, it was time to have some fun. We headed to the University of Calgary for an afternoon of skating. Students hit the ice, showed off their skating skills, and enjoyed spending time together. Whether they were gliding around confidently or taking things a little more carefully, there were plenty of smiles and laughs on the ice.

To finish off an action-packed day, we headed out for a delicious Vietnamese dinner. Everyone enjoyed trying some fantastic food and relaxing together after such a busy day.

From breakfast and laundry to English lessons, moving floors, skating, and Vietnamese food, today was a perfect example of life at Wynchemna—busy, fun, and always full of surprises!
