Wynchemna Takes Over the Mall!

Today was another action-packed day at Wynchemna; filled with learning, laughter, shopping, and a little friendly competition! We started the morning with a delicious breakfast before deciding which team would be crowned the winners from yesterday's exciting Red Paper Clip Challenge. After all the creative trades and conversations with strangers around Calgary, it was time to celebrate the team that managed to make the biggest trade-up!

With the morning off to a stellar start, we headed into our English lessons. Today, students explored two fascinating topics: Canadian sports and Greek mythology. We learned about some of Canada's favourite sports and athletes, with a special focus on hockey and lacrosse. Students discovered more about the history and traditions behind these sports while practicing their English and learning some new vocabulary. We also travelled back in time to explore the exciting world of Greek mythology, meeting legendary gods, heroes, and mythical creatures along the way!

After our lessons, we enjoyed lunch together in the campus cafeteria before getting ready for our afternoon adventure. We hopped aboard the Calgary train and made our way to Chinook Mall for an afternoon of shopping and bowling!

Students had plenty of time to explore the stores, find some great souvenirs, and enjoy the excitement of the mall. Then it was time to hit the bowling lanes! There were plenty of laughs, cheers, and high-fives as everyone tried their best to knock down as many pins as possible. Most of us even managed to score a few impressive strikes along the way!

After working up an appetite, we all enjoyed dinner together at the mall before catching the train back home. Once we arrived, everyone changed into comfy clothes, grabbed some of our favourite snacks, and settled in for a relaxing movie night. We watched a movie together and enjoyed the perfect ending to another fantastic Wynchemna day!
