From Wash Cycles to Wheels: Rolling Through Another Wynchemna Day

Today was another action-packed day at Wynchemna, and we made the most of every minute!

We started the morning with a good breakfast to get everyone fueled up, then it was straight into laundry time. Students sorted their clothes, ran the machines like pros, and got a little taste of independent life abroad!

With clean laundry done, we settled into our first lesson of the day. The classrooms were full of energy, with students practicing their English through conversation, games, and group activities. Before we knew it, it was time to break for lunch, and everyone refuelled with a good meal at the Sait cafeteria before heading back for a second lesson in the early afternoon.

Once lessons wrapped up, we loaded onto the bus for one of the most anticipated parts of the day: rollerskating! There were plenty of wobbly first laps, a few tumbles, and lots of laughter, but by the end of the session students were skating with a lot more confidence than when they started. Shoutout to those who helped teach and guide others along the way — it's always great to see students looking out for one another!

From the rink, we headed straight to Cross Iron Mall for some shopping. Students browsed their favourite stores, picked up a few treats and souvenirs, and got some great real-world English practice chatting with staff and cashiers along the way.

Supper tonight came with a fun twist: everyone got to choose their own meal! Options on the table were chicken alfredo, butter chicken, donair, and spaghetti, and the dining hall was full of happy chatter..

To close out the day, students headed back into the classroom for a third and final lesson, wrapping up a full day of laundry, lessons, skating, shopping, and great food.

What a day! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
