Giddy Up for the Calgary Stampede!

Today was an exciting day as we headed to the Calgary Stampede! There was so much to see and do, and everyone had a chance to experience a little bit of everything. Throughout the day, campers watched incredible freestyle motocross performances, enjoyed live music, cheered on daring high dive shows, and were amazed by the precision and teamwork during the horse dancing demonstrations.

One of the biggest highlights for many of our campers was the Stock Dog Championship, where skilled dogs expertly herded livestock through a challenging course. Their speed, intelligence, and teamwork with their handlers had everyone watching closely, and it quickly became a favourite event of the day.

After returning from the Stampede, we were welcomed by friends with a delicious lasagna supper. It was a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy a meal together, and share stories from the day's adventures.

The evening continued with a fun "getting to know you" activity inspired by bingo, giving campers and leaders a chance to meet new people, discover shared interests, and make new friendships.

Of course, there was still plenty of energy left after that! Everyone headed out to the field for games and free play, running, laughing, and making the most of the evening. Just as the fun was in full swing, the rain arrived and sent us all racing for cover—an exciting end to a memorable day.

Today was filled with laughter, new experiences, great food, and growing friendships. We're looking forward to seeing what tomorrow has in store!
