Music, Maple Leaves and Memories!!!
Happy Canada Day from camp! 🇨🇦
Today was an unforgettable celebration of fun, friendship, and Canadian pride.
We started the day with a delicious breakfast that gave us all the energy we needed for a jam-packed day. Our first lessons of the morning were a blast—filled with creativity, laughter, and lots of learning. Campers were all smiles as they jumped into their activities and tried new things.
Afterwards, we enjoyed a tasty lunch before heading out on a special field trip to the Music Museum in Downtown Calgary. It was an exciting and lively place, full of sound, rhythm, and cool exhibits. We loved exploring instruments from around the world and learning about how music connects people and cultures.
Then it was off to a crowded, energetic park, where we celebrated Canada Day in full force! We had an awesome time playing sports like soccer, volleyball, football, and frisbee, surrounded by other happy park-goers. We also got into the Canada Day spirit with fun temporary tattoos, and campers got to learn more about Canadian history, symbols, and what makes this country so special. The pride was shining bright—just like the sun!
After a mini hike by the scenic Prince’s Island that gave us some amazing views (and made us very hungry!), we had a fantastic dinner at Boston Pizza. Pasta, and laughter filled the tables!
The day wrapped up with a fun final lesson, followed by one of the best evenings yet—baking treats, singing songs, and playing epic rounds of foosball and air hockey. Before going to bed, we also celebrated our students of the day! Majo filled our days with great energy and positivity, and Teny was enthusiastic (especially playing piano) and sociable! The whole day was full of joy, discovery, and nonstop energy.
We’re heading to bed with tired feet, full hearts, and big smiles. What a way to celebrate Canada Day!!!
