New Arrivals, Clean Clothes and a Dodgeball Showdown
Blog Post: Clean Clothes, Carb Loading, and a Dodgeball Showdown
The day started off slow and steady with a much-needed laundry morning. After a week of nonstop action, it was time to wash away the dirt, sweat, and mystery stains from camp life. Everyone took turns loading the machines, folding clothes, and sharing stories from the past few days. It might not sound exciting, but clean socks and fresh t-shirts made us feel like brand new people.
Once laundry was out of the way, it was time for a well-earned lunch. The dining hall smelled like heaven with the scent of bubbling pizza and warm pasta. Everyone piled their plates high with slices of pepperoni, cheese, and bowls of spaghetti or creamy alfredo. After a slow morning, it felt good to sit down, eat good food, and recharge with friends.
In the afternoon, the energy picked back up with the arrival of new campers. There was a buzz in the air as everyone introduced themselves, showed the newcomers around, and helped them settle in. It was exciting to see fresh faces and even more exciting to know the next chapter of camp was about to begin.
To finish off the day, we all gathered for a massive game of dodgeball. It started out as two teams, but quickly turned into a full-on camp showdown. Balls were flying, people were diving, and the cheering never stopped. Whether you were the last one standing or the first one out, it was all smiles and high fives by the end.
From laundry loads to pizza feasts, new friendships to flying dodgeballs, today had it all.
