Sunshine, Sports, and Stories

Another fantastic summer day at Wynchemna was packed with learning, laughter, and plenty of time outside enjoying the beautiful Canadian sunshine!

The morning began with a hearty breakfast before students jumped into three engaging English lessons. From improving grammar and vocabulary to building confidence in speaking and writing, everyone worked hard and continued making great progress. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another and becoming more comfortable using English every day.

After a busy morning, everyone was ready for a well-earned lunch of delicious chicken, potatoes, and gravy. With full stomachs and lots of energy, we headed outside for an afternoon of basketball and ball hockey. The warm weather made it the perfect day to spend three hours on the courts, where students showed off their athletic skills, teamwork, and determination. Whether they were sinking baskets, making great passes, or scoring goals, there were smiles everywhere you looked.

Back in the classroom, students put their creativity to work by creating their very own newspapers. They became reporters for the afternoon, writing stories about their experiences at Wynchemna and their adventures in Canada. From exciting field trips to funny camp memories, each newspaper highlighted the unforgettable moments that have made this summer so special.

Dinner featured a delicious pasta meal that gave everyone the energy they needed for the evening. To finish the day, students gathered to continue practising for the upcoming talent show. Every rehearsal brought more confidence, bigger smiles, and plenty of excitement as performers fine-tuned their acts. We can't wait to see everyone take the stage!

Every day at Wynchemna brings new opportunities to learn, make friends, and create lifelong memories—and today was another perfect example of just how special this summer has been.
