A Dino-Mite Day in Drumheller!
What a jam-packed day we’ve had at camp — one for the books!
We kicked off the morning with our final lessons of camp, wrapping up a week full of learning, laughter, and new discoveries. It's hard to believe how fast time has flown, but our campers gave it their all right up to the last minute.
After a quick lunch, we were off on our big adventure — a field trip to Drumheller!
Our first stop was the breathtaking Horseshoe Canyon. The views were absolutely stunning, and we hit the trails for an hour-long hike through the unique badlands terrain. After working up a good sweat, we refueled with freshly cut watermelon and a mountain of snacks — a well-earned treat!
Next, we made our way to the heart of dinosaur country: the Royal Tyrrell Museum. Campers were in awe of the towering dinosaur skeletons, ancient fossils, and fascinating exhibits. The gift shop was a hit too — many walked out with dino-themed souvenirs and big smiles!
To wrap up our adventure, we headed to Drumheller’s Dinosaur Park for an evening BBQ. We grilled up some delicious burgers, played soccer and frisbee, and cooled off at the water park with plenty of water gun fun. It was the perfect way to end the day — full of sunshine, laughter, and good food.
Though it was a long day, it was filled with incredible memories and unforgettable experiences. We’re all tired, happy, and ready for a good night’s sleep!
