Curtains Up, Backpacks Packed!

Today was a day full of excitement, celebration, and anticipation as our Wynchemna students wrapped up their final day on campus before heading into the Canadian Rockies!

The morning began with breakfast together before students attended their last English lessons of the session. Over the past few weeks, they have grown tremendously in their confidence, communication skills, and willingness to speak English. Today's classes gave everyone one final opportunity to reflect on what they had learned while sharing plenty of laughs with classmates and teachers who have become close friends.

After enjoying lunch together, it was time for one of the most anticipated events of the session—the Wynchemna Talent Show! Students amazed everyone with singing, dancing, comedy, musical performances, games, and creative acts that highlighted not only their incredible talents but also the confidence they have developed during their time at camp. The audience cheered loudly for every performer, making it a wonderful celebration of courage, creativity, and friendship.

The afternoon gave students some free time to do a little last-minute shopping and finish their laundry before our biggest adventure begins. With clean clothes and a few Canadian souvenirs packed away, everyone was ready for the week ahead.

For dinner, we enjoyed delicious shawarma together before returning to campus to tackle one final task—packing! Sleeping bags, hiking clothes, water bottles, and camping gear quickly filled suitcases as excitement spread throughout the residence halls. Tomorrow we leave the city behind and begin an unforgettable week exploring the breathtaking Rocky Mountains.

There may be a few butterflies as students prepare to sleep under the stars for the first time, but there is even more excitement. Campfires, mountain hikes, crystal-clear lakes, wildlife, and incredible memories are waiting just around the corner. The classroom chapter may have come to an end, but our greatest adventure is about to begin!
