From Buffalo Jumps to Mountain Views!

Today was another action-packed day at Wynchemna, and we made the most of every minute!

We started bright and early with our morning Run Club, where some of our students got the day off to an energetic start. After breakfast, we loaded up our iconic yellow school bus and set off for an exciting day of exploring southern Alberta.

Our first destination was the historic Buffalo Jump. Along the way, we made a stop so everyone could stretch their legs, play together, and enjoy some time outdoors before continuing our journey. Once we arrived, students learned about the rich history and culture of the Indigenous peoples of Canada and discovered how the Buffalo Jump played such an important role in their way of life. It was a fascinating and memorable learning experience for everyone.

After exploring the site, we enjoyed some delicious sandwiches for lunch before hopping back on the bus. The fun didn't stop there, we kept everyone entertained with bus games as we travelled to our next destination.

Our afternoon took us to the beautiful Crowsnest River, where students explored the stunning waterfall and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. We then visited the Frank Slide Historic Site, taking a hike through one of Canada's most remarkable natural disaster sites while soaking in the incredible mountain views and learning about the area's unique history.

To end an unforgettable day, we headed to Chain Lakes Reservoir for an evening full of fun! Students cooled off with a swim, played American football, soccer, and volleyball, and enjoyed spending time together by the water. We wrapped up the day with a delicious dinner of sausages and fresh fruit salad before heading back with plenty of smiles and wonderful memories.

What an incredible day of adventure, learning, and friendship! We can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
