From the Field to the Water: Wynchemna in Action!

Today was all about teamwork, energy, and making memories as our Senior and Junior camps joined forces for an action-packed day of sports and adventure!

The morning started with another fantastic round of lessons, where students continued building their English skills while sharing laughs and stories with friends from around the world. The classrooms were buzzing with energy and excitement for what was coming next!

Once lessons wrapped up, it was time to head outside for an epic day of competition and fun. Students rotated through a variety of activities including Ultimate Frisbee, Football, and Canoeing, giving everyone a chance to show off their athletic skills, cheer on their teammates, and try something new.

The Ultimate Frisbee games featured incredible catches, impressive teamwork, and plenty of dramatic diving attempts. On the football field, students gave it their all, celebrating goals and unforgettable plays together. Meanwhile, out on the water, our canoe teams paddled their way across the lake, working together to stay on course—and occasionally trying not to splash their friends too much!

Seeing our Junior and Senior campers mix together made the day even more special. New friendships were formed, old friendships grew stronger, and students from different countries connected through sports, laughter, and shared experiences.

After a long day filled with sunshine, competition, and adventure, everyone had certainly earned a delicious dinner. We finished the day back on the University of Calgary campus with a fantastic Vietnamese meal that disappeared almost as quickly as it arrived!
