Drumheller Day!

Today was one of the most exciting and unforgettable days we've had so far at Wynchemna! From delicious meals to prehistoric adventures and outdoor fun, every moment was packed with energy, laughter, and learning.

We started the day with a tasty breakfast that gave us a great boost. On the menu: eggs, crispy bacon, creamy yogurt, waffles, juice, and milk. It was a delicious and filling start that got everyone ready for a busy day ahead.

After breakfast, we had two fun and interactive English lessons. Since we were headed to Drumheller — the Dinosaur Capital of Canada — our lessons had a dinosaur theme!

Lunch was another highlight of the day. Campers chose from juicy steak, fried chicken sandwiches, or Cubano sandwiches — all packed with flavor. It was the perfect meal to fuel up before our afternoon adventure.

Once lunch was over, we jumped on the bus and made our way to Horseshoe Canyon. The views were absolutely stunning! We hiked around the canyon, took tons of photos, and soaked in the beauty of the rocky cliffs and winding trails. It was the perfect mix of nature and fun, and campers were amazed by the unique landscape.

Next, we continued to Drumheller to visit the world-famous Royal Tyrrell Museum. It was like stepping back in time! We explored rooms full of ancient fossils, towering dinosaur skeletons, and interactive exhibits that brought the prehistoric world to life. Everyone was fascinated — especially after having dinosaur-themed English lessons earlier in the day. It was so cool to see everything up close!

After the museum, we headed to a spray park to cool down and enjoy some free time. The weather was hot, so the water was refreshing and fun. We played volleyball, football, and soccer, and some campers just relaxed in the shade or splashed around with friends.

As the evening approached, we gathered for a delicious barbecue dinner. We grilled up tasty burgers and served them with a variety of sides: Caesar salad, fruit salad, veggies, cheese and crackers, and plenty of treats. There was juice and cold water for everyone to stay refreshed. The food was incredible, and the vibe was relaxed and happy.

We ended the day with more time at the spray park before hopping back on the bus and heading back to SAIT.

It was truly an amazing day at Wynchemna — full of adventure, great food, learning, and unforgettable memories!
