Scavenger Hunt, Rollerskating, and Shopping!!!

What a fantastic first day at Wynchemna ESL Summer Camp! Our new campers jumped right into camp life with a day filled with learning, laughter, teamwork, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends.

We started the morning with our placement exams, giving students a chance to show off their English skills and helping us get everyone into the right classes. After working hard, we enjoyed lunch together, where students had their first chance to relax, chat, and get to know one another. Before long, the tables were filled with jokes, laughter, and conversations as new friendships started to form.

Next, we split into two teams for an exciting scavenger hunt across the SAIT campus! Teams raced around campus searching for clues, completing challenges, and working together to reach the finish line. It was a great way for students to explore their new surroundings while practicing communication and teamwork.

After the scavenger hunt, we headed out for some rollerblading. Campers showed off their skills, encouraged each other, and enjoyed some time outside after a busy day of activities.

We then headed to CrossIron Mills for some shopping and free time. Students explored the stores, picked up some new things, and enjoyed spending time together outside of camp.

To finish off our first day, everyone gathered for a big game of Werewolf! With plenty of accusations, dramatic reveals, suspicious looks, and lots of laughter, it was the perfect way to end the day.

From our first exams and lunch together to exploring SAIT, rollerblading, shopping, and playing Werewolf, our campers packed a lot into their very first day. Most importantly, they began building the friendships and memories that will make this summer one to remember!
