Stories, Sports, and Smiles All Around
Today was another exciting and well-rounded day for our students, filled with language learning, outdoor activities, and creative expression.
The morning kicked off with three ESL lessons, each one offering something different and fun. One group practiced newspaper writing, learning how to craft headlines and articles like real journalists. Another class had thoughtful career path discussions, exploring different jobs and the skills needed for them. A third group played a lively game of Jeopardy, using vocabulary and grammar in a fun, fast-paced way. There was also a creative writing lesson where students looked at mysterious images and used their imaginations to write stories about what they thought was happening. The room was filled with creativity, discussion, and lots of great English practice!
After lunch, students headed outdoors for an afternoon of classic Canadian fun. They took part in canoeing, learning how to paddle and steer on the water, as well as football and soccer games filled with energy, teamwork, and laughter.
The day ended with a delicious dinner and one last highlight: the Loose Moose Workshop. This improv theatre session encouraged students to let loose, be silly, and most importantly—have fun! Through games and group activities, they built confidence, learned to think on their feet, and shared lots of laughs.
It was a wonderful day of learning, movement, and creativity. From classroom activities to outdoor adventures and evening fun, our students are making the most of every moment!
