Fun Places and New Faces !!
At Wynchemna, every day is an opportunity for students to learn, grow, and create unforgettable memories. We had an exciting day filled with activities, competitions, new friendships, and experiences that left everyone energized and eager for more.
The day began at 9 a.m. with a hearty breakfast prepared to fuel our students for the busy day ahead. As the aroma filled the air, students gathered together, chatting excitedly about what the day would bring. Breakfast is always a favorite part of our routine, offering a chance for students to connect, share stories, and start their day on a positive note.
Following breakfast, students attended three engaging lessons led by our talented teachers. One of the highlights was Sarah’s lessons, which included a spirited reading, writing, and speaking race. In this friendly competition, teams went head-to-head, competing for a fun prize. The race wasn’t just about winning but also about practicing language skills in a lively, supportive environment. Students showed impressive teamwork demonstrating their growing confidence in English. The energy in the room was awesome, and the laughter a echoed as each team gave their best effort.
After a productive morning, it was time for lunch. Students headed to the SAIT cafeteria, where they enjoyed a variety of delicious options. The cafeteria’s lively atmosphere was a perfect setting for students to relax and recharge. Once they finished eating, the fun continued with a selection of newly learned games. Students eagerly participated in charades, card games, and a tricky hand tapping game, which helped strengthen their bonds and gave everyone a chance to showcase their playful side.
To give everyone a chance to explore Calgary and do some shopping, the group headed to Chinook Mall. The mall offered a variety of stores, and students enjoyed browsing and picking out souvenirs or gifts for friends and family. It was a great opportunity for students to practice their English in real-world settings while enjoying the vibrant shopping environment.
After a fun-filled afternoon, everyone returned to SAIT for a late supper. The evening brought an exciting change of pace as new students arrived to join the group. This influx of fresh faces added to the day’s energy, fostering a sense of community and excitement. This time, Chicken On The Way—a new place for most students. Sharing a meal together after a busy day is always special, fostering camaraderie and giving students a moment to reflect on their experiences.
Overall, day at Wynchemna was a fantastic blend of learning, fun, and cultural exchange. From competitive races to shopping adventures, each activity helped students build confidence, make new friends, and develop important life skills. We are proud of how our students embraced every moment and look forward to more days filled with discovery and growth.
