The Adventure Begins at Wynchemna!

Today was an exciting start to our first day at ESL as students from all over the world arrived in Calgary! We welcomed campers from Mexico, Spain, Russia, the Czech Republic, Japan, and many more countries. It was amazing to see so many different cultures come together in one place!

After checking in and getting all their camp gear for the next few weeks, campers settled into their rooms, met their roommates, and started making new friends from around the world.

The afternoon was packed with fun! Campers got to know each other through lots of icebreaker games before jumping into sports, dodgeball, and other exciting activities. There were smiles, laughter, and new friendships forming everywhere you looked.

To wrap up the day, everyone enjoyed an amazing chicken supper before we gathered to go over our camp rules. One of the most important rules is our English Only policy. Speaking English throughout camp is the best way to build confidence, improve language skills, and make the most of this international experience.

Day 1 was a fantastic start, and we can't wait to see what the rest of ESL has in store. Here's to an unforgettable few weeks ahead!
