The Amazing Calgary Race and Ice Skating!
Today was one for the memory books!
We kicked off the morning with our usual lessons — the campers stayed sharp, focused, and full of curiosity as always. But even the most dedicated students knew something special was coming. The buzz had been building all week… and after a quick refuel at lunch, it was finally time for the moment everyone had been waiting for: The Amazing Calgary Race!
Split into teams, campers dashed across the city in an epic challenge that tested not only their navigation skills but their creativity, courage, and teamwork. From the bustling streets of Chinatown to the iconic Calgary Tower and the historic City Hall, no landmark was left unexplored.
The tasks? Oh, they were wild — and so much fun:
Dance with a stranger (Bonus points for flair!)
Get a stranger to draw a portrait of you on a t-shirt (Let’s just say... we discovered some very unique artists out there!)
Share a drink (with your own straws, of course!) — A fun way to cool off and bond mid-race.
Each team brought their A-game, snapping selfies, laughing through the chaos, and showing off serious Calgary spirit.
After every landmark was visited and every challenge completed, we gathered at the legendary Olympic Oval to cool down — literally — with some ice skating. The atmosphere was electric, and a few of our campers absolutely shredded the ice! Shoutout to our incredible skaters who glided, spun, and sped around like pros.
At the end of this action-packed day, we tallied the scores, and the results are in:
🥇 1st Place: Eric's Team — Blazing fast and unstoppable!
🥈 2nd Place: Hannah's Team — Smooth, strategic, and full of heart.
🥉 3rd Place: Kai's Team — Creative, bold, and so much fun to watch.
Congratulations to all teams — every camper brought energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork that made this day unforgettable. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Stay tuned for more camp adventures! 🌟
